Privacy Policy
This policy explains what data is processed when you use Market Jury, for what purpose, and what rights you have in relation to it.
1. Controller
The controller responsible for data processing on this website is:
LCP GmbH
Gänsemarkt 31
20354 Hamburg
Germany
Email: team@marketjury.com
Phone: +49 40 609432300
2. Hosting and server log files
This website is operated on our own servers in the EU. On every visit, the server automatically collects technical data (IP address, date and time of the request, page accessed, amount of data transferred, browser type and operating system, referrer URL). These server log files are used for technical security and error analysis and are automatically deleted after a short time. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in a smooth and secure operation (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
3. Account and registration
A user account is required for certain features (e.g. viewing your own analyses, your analysis quota). When registering by email and password, we store your email address and a password hash (never plain text). If you register via Google or GitHub instead, we receive your email address, name, and profile picture, if provided, from that provider. The legal basis is the performance of our usage agreement with you (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
For sign-in we use a technically necessary session cookie that authenticates you after login. It is not used for advertising or tracking purposes.
4. Analysis feature (asking the agents)
When you ask our AI agents a question about a security, that question, together with the selected instruments, is transmitted to the AI model providers listed below to generate an answer. We permanently store the question and answer in our database so you can revisit them later.
In the community view, other users' analyses are visible, but only with the question, instrument, and answer, without indicating which user submitted the analysis.
5. Service providers used (processors)
To provide the platform, we use the following third-party providers. Data processing agreements under Art. 28 GDPR are in place with all relevant providers where required.
| Provider | Purpose | What is transmitted |
|---|---|---|
| Anthropic (Claude) | Language model for agent analyses | Your question, selected instruments, market data |
| OpenAI | Language model for an agent's counterposition; image generation for editorial Arena debates | Analysis content or debate topic (no link to your account) |
| Tavily | Web search for current market news | Search queries about companies/topics, no user data |
| Financial Modeling Prep | Price and fundamental data | No personal reference, pure market-data retrieval |
| Resend | Sending confirmation and password emails | Your email address |
| Google / GitHub | Optional login (only if used) | OAuth profile data (email, name, profile picture) |
| Umami (self-hosted) | Traffic analytics, active only with your consent | Anonymized usage data; for logged-in users, additionally email/name to attribute interactions (see section 6) |
| Stripe | Payment processing for credit purchases | Payment and billing data; we do not store card data ourselves |
6. Cookies and consent
We use two types of cookies or local storage. Technically necessary cookies (e.g. your session cookie after login, your light/dark display setting, your cookie decision itself) are required to operate the platform and run without consent, based on our legitimate interest in a functioning offering (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, Section 25(2) TTDSG).
Traffic analytics via our self-hosted Umami (see table above) runs only with your consent, which you grant or decline on your first visit via the cookie banner (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR, Section 25(1) TTDSG). If you are logged in and have consented to traffic analytics, we additionally attribute recorded interactions to your email address and name to improve the product in a targeted way; without login, the data remains anonymous. Umami can also record mouse movements and click paths (session recording), but never input into password or payment fields.
You can change your decision at any time via the "Cookie settings" link in the footer.
7. Retention period
We store account data for as long as your account exists. We permanently store analyses and debate content as a historical record, even after your account is deleted, but without personal reference (see item 4). Server log files are automatically deleted after a short time.
8. Your rights
You have the right, at any time, to:
- Access to the data stored about you (Art. 15 GDPR)
- Rectification of inaccurate data (Art. 16 GDPR)
- Erasure of your data (Art. 17 GDPR)
- Restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR)
- Data portability (Art. 20 GDPR)
- Objection to processing (Art. 21 GDPR)
To exercise these rights, contact team@marketjury.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority; the competent authority is the Hamburg Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information.
9. Changes to this policy
We update this privacy policy whenever our services or the legal situation change. The current version can always be found on this page.
